2022 Part B and D premium according to income IRMA

Every January the government determines the amount your part B premium will be based on your income from 2 years ago. If you are considered a ‘high-earner’ there is an adjustment (increase) applied to your premium for the upcoming calendar year. There is also an adjustment added to your prescription plan premiums based on the same income gird (‘high-earners’ only).

2022 increases REVISED

​ ​Each year the Medicare Part B premium, deductible, and coinsurance rates are determined according to the Social Security Act. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $170.10 for 2022, an increase of $21.60 from $148.50 in 2021.
